Oh and i do like the way strawberry milk looked in the pictures, but when applying it you may want to 'dab' it on, as if u swipe as usual.strawberry milk may apply unevenly. They both look absolutely HOT with a smokey eye! B52 is actualy the darkest colour that i would consider every day wearable (for me) because its not too brown, not too red, not too plum its not too light, and not dark enough to be considered vampish. Circe is creamy, but its more of a matte creamy, whereas cremesheen by MAC is a dewy creme, if that makes sense, and also its a few shades lighter, however both are gorgeous nudes on my NC40(Mac studio powder) skintone. At such a low price, a girl can afford to try a few out )Ĭirce in comparison with my Creme de nude MAC Creemesheen lipstick. I must say that it is gorgeously creamy and pigmented for its price, although the quality cant be compared to MAC cremesheens (my fave lipsticks), its still extremely good. The service was pretty good, arriving relatively quickly and in good packaging, but next time I order I'll be searching the web for swatches and will studiously ignore the ones on the NYX website.My Haul from Cherryculture involved a whole lot of NYX round lippies for $1.75 each. It wears well for 6+ hours without giving that dry feel. It evens the lip complexion and feels comfortable on lips. The Prague by NYX is a bright purple fushia lipstick with cool undertone and perfectly velvet matte finish. Their swatches are also kind of small and sheer, and don't give you a lot to go on. This lipstick was nominated by several fashion magazines as the best drugstore party lipstick. I ordered from Cherr圜, who do provide their own swatches, although not for all the shades they sell, strangely. Below, the four lipsticks swatched on my hand, with the colour blob thing for each underneath. This, despite my ordering shades of the type that I can usually expect to look good on me.
Of the 4 colours I ordered, only one is wearable. Now, I don't really expect swatches to be totally accurate, particularly when they are a computer-generated blob of colour as opposed to a picture of the actual lipstick, but I do expect the shades to be vaguely usable. My recent experience buying those 4 more colours have revealed the downside the NYX website swatches are crap. I'm talking about NYX Round lipsticks, which I found to be long lasting, deeply pigmented, comfortable feeling, and gloriously cheap.
I recently found a lipstick I absolutely adored, rambled lovingly about it, and like any beauty addict worth their slap, ordered 4 more colours. UPDATE: If you've landed here from Google looking for on-lip NYX swatches, we have lots of them.
